Job Summary

BCS Inc. is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a long-term opportunity in the Northern Virginia area to support one of our Federal clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Managing executive calendars in Microsoft Outlook
  • Be extremely responsive to in fast-paced environment
  • Develop and assemble meeting packages
  • Develop new PowerPoint presentations and update existing presentations
  • Take detailed meeting minutes
  • Assist team with administration support as needed

Required Qualifications and Duties

  • U.S Citizen
  • Must be able to work independently and thrive on multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a favorable Government background check.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Utilizing SharePoint to assistance with tracking, reporting, and logistical support for workflow and processes
  • Providing general document preparation, editing, and management support for project management and technical staff. Responsibilities may include maintaining repository of contract deliverables; managing a reference/resource library; preparing and monitoring facilities for technical training, teleconferencing, and meetings and other support documents.
  • Maintaining a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day administrative activities, and performing various management assistance duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the administrative work environment.
  • Handling the administrative business, planning, organization, and controlling the clerical aspect of the office including the preparation, communication, coordination, and storage of information/data while maintaining a process of work inside the office within the organization.

Project Manager

National Capital Region


Details:

Salary:  $80k to $125k depending on experience

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to support contracts with the Federal Government

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture + 5 years of experience, or no degree + 10 years of related experience. 
  • Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing. 
  • Experience in preparing written reports, correspondence, and maintaining records. 
  • Experience in conducting meetings and briefing clients and management personnel. 
  • Knowledge of construction practices and techniques. 
  • Ability to interpret engineering and architectural plans and specifications. 
  • Ability to prepare schedules using MS Project. 
  • Experience creating cost estimates, tracking funds, and writing scope documents. 
  • Experience with pre-planning, programming, design review, procurement support, and overall project management activities. 
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Government experience, either as a federal employee or private contractor.
  • Professional license or certification:  PE, RA, CCM, or PMP. 

In this position, you will act as the Government owner’s technical representative to advise on design and construction activities.  Duties will include managing projects from the Government’s viewpoint from project assignment through close-out & occupancy with emphasis on cost, schedule, and quality control. Must be able to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and other team members.  This job does not involve directly managing the construction – only managing the Government’s responsibilities for contributing design requirements, reviewing change order requests, and coordinating Government vendor activities.

Construction Manager

Salary:  $75k to $120k depending on experience and qualifications

Seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support contracts with the Federal Government

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field + 4 years of experience in commercial construction project management, or no degree + 8 years of experience. 
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing. 
  • Experience in preparing written reports, correspondence, and maintaining records. 
  • Experience in conducting meetings and briefing clients and management personnel. 
  • Knowledge of construction practices and techniques. 
  • Ability to interpret engineering and architectural plans and specifications. 
  • Ability to prepare schedules using MS Project and/or Primavera P3-P6. 
  • Understanding of space design, IT/electrical drops, AV interface, and other MEP considerations as it related to interior space design and layout. 
  • Experience creating cost estimates, tracking funds, and writing scope documents. 
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Government experience, either as a federal employee or private contractor.

Systems Furniture SME

National Capital Region


Details:

Salary:  $90k to $120k depending on experience and qualifications

Seeking an individual experienced with office building furniture design, procurement and installation to support contracts with the Federal Government.

Required qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able pass a background check.
  • A bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited University OR 10 years systems furniture experience in lieu of degree. 
  • Minimum of 6 years experience with systems furniture. 
  • Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills; and be able to demonstrate those skills to a varying level of internal and external resources, to include senior leadership. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Excellent team communication skills, design presentation and storytelling skills. 
  • Well-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management and technical project resolution. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with design/construction of government office buildings. 

In this position, you will act as the Government owner’s technical representative to advise on furniture design, procurement and installation for space reconfigurations and new construction.  You will be part of a team of Federal employees and contractors.

Facility Manager

National Capital Region


Details:

Salary:  $75k to $90k depending on experience and qualifications

Seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support contracts with the Federal Government

Required qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • 6 years of experience providing support for facility management activities.
  • Ability to speak, understand, read and write in the English language with a good level of proficiency. 
  • Experience in furniture assembly and dis-assembly, including ability to transport, crate, uncrate, assemble and dis-assemble basic furniture parts and pieces. 
  • Ability to lift/carry/move 40-60 lb. boxes from one building to another with the use of hand truck/dollies. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, including multiple hours, and climb ladders. 
  • Experience in preparing written reports, correspondence, and maintaining records. 
  • Show proficiency with general hand tools: hammer, screwdriver, drill, voltmeter, etc. 
  • Knowledge of construction practices and techniques.
  • Knowledge of facilities and O&M practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering and architectural plans and specifications. 
 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance level.

In this position, you will act as the Government owner’s technical representative to advise on facilities management activities for GSA-owned and leased buildings.  Anticipate daily walks through spaces to identify problems with HVAC, lighting, etc.  Duties will include coordinating facilities management issues with the building owner’s team and GSA with emphasis on cost, schedule, and quality control. Must be able to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and other team members.  This job requires coordinating Government vendor activities.

Interior Designer/Space Planner

National Capital Region


Details:

Salary Range:  $80k to $110k depending on experience and qualifications.

 

Provide space planning and CAD support services to Federal Clients in the D.C. Metro area. Services will support space renovations and improvement projects within Government owned and leased office buildings.

Core Responsibilities

  • Track physical space inventory through data collection and CAD information management. 
  • Identify space allocation, utilization, and project space needs. 
  • Support re-organizations to include interior design, furniture reconfiguration, move services and IT coordination. 
  • Survey spaces for equipment and furniture inventory and layouts. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • AutoDesk products proficiency – AutoCad and Revit.
  • Space planning: working knowledge of GSA space standards is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of systems furniture.
  • Working knowledge of FM Systems or Trirega.
  • Strong communication skills: able to present with graphical illustration, descriptive narration, and verbal formats.
  • Strong organization skills:  able to manage large volume of data, photos, drawings, and models.

In this position, you will work with a team of Federal employees and contractors to manage Government space inventory.
